Overview
SilkHire ("we", "our", "us") is a tech-focused job board platform for Uzbekistan and Central Asia, operated as a sole-founder project based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use silkhire.uz, how we use it, and what rights you have.
By using SilkHire you agree to this policy. If you disagree with any part, please stop using the platform and contact us so we can delete your data.
What we collect
- Name and email address when you create an account or submit a contact form.
- Professional information you add to your profile: skills, experience, preferred role type, salary expectations.
- Job applications you submit through the platform.
- Messages you send to employers or to us.
- Feedback, survey responses, or support requests.
- IP address, browser type, and device information.
- Pages visited, time spent, and interactions on the platform.
- Referring URLs (how you arrived at the site).
- Cookie and local storage identifiers (see Cookies section).
If you represent a company and post a job listing, we collect your company name, registration details, contact person name and email, and payment information (if applicable when paid plans launch).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or training external AI models.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
- Application data: retained for 12 months after an application, then anonymized.
- Contact form submissions: retained for 6 months, then deleted.
- Analytics data: retained for 90 days in identifiable form, then aggregated and anonymized.
- Legal and financial records: retained for the period required by Uzbek law (typically 5 years).
Your rights

- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data.

- Withdrawal: Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.
We will respond to all requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plaintext passwords.
- Access to production systems is restricted to the founder and any verified contractors under NDA.
- Regular security audits and dependency updates.
Children
SilkHire is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us at silkhire.uz@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Continued use of SilkHire after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
